“I searched for somewhere to go on an evening, the worst time for me. Once the front door closes, it's just me and the dog, rattling around with an overwhelming sound of silence," shares Ann. "I quickly realised that whilst there are some daytime groups, there is little to nothing on an evening.”

Driven by the desire for a space where individuals could share their feelings without judgment and find solace in the company of others who truly understand, Ann created Harrogate District Grief and Beyond. A place where it's okay to cry, to talk about loved ones in the present tense, and to find strength in shared experiences.
